COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury County Chamber & Economic Alliance (Maury Alliance) and True Rail officials announced today that the company is establishing their business headquarters in Mt. Pleasant, TN.
True Rail Enterprises, LLC, an AAR certified railcar repair facility, has made major renovations and improvements to an existing facility located at 500 1st Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, TN. The company was established in 2019 and plans to operate in Mt. Pleasant, Milan, Chattanooga, and Copper Basin.
True Rail was founded by Mark Smith, an AAR Certified QA Inspector, and Dr. John Powers who collectively have over 18 years’ experience in the industry. They previously worked together at Southern Autotrack Services which was launched by Dr. Powers in 2008.
They chose Mt. Pleasant for their company headquarters due to its strategic location in the heart of the Southern Rail Corridor. True Rail is currently the only AAR certified business of its type operating in the Southeast.
The company expects to employ approximately 80 people once they become fully operational. They are currently seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant, Warehouse/Inventory Specialist, and several Carman positions.
