Anyone who attended the Jan. 26 Maury Alliance annual meeting at Puckett’s could tell you right away: There is a new energy in Maury County, and it revolves around howthis community’s pro-education culture is on the rise.
Just one year ago, Maury County was in a very different place. A major leadership transition for Maury County Public Schools (MCPS) was on the horizon, the business community felt a sense of frustration with how perceptions of our school system quality were impacting Maury County’s reputation and there was uncertainty among local educators about MCPS’s future direction.
