Seasoning and Spice manufacturer to invest 4 million, create 35 jobs
MOUNT PLEASANT, Tenn. — the Doug Jeffords Company along with the Maury County Chamber and Economic Alliance announced today that the company will relocate its operation to Maury County. The family owned seasoning and spice manufacturer expects to invest $4 million and create 35 new jobs at the Cherry Glen Industrial Park in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.

The Doug Jeffords Company is a leading provider in custom blended seasonings and the highest quality spices and herbs. The company is Tennessee’s oldest continually operating spice and seasoning house specializing in custom blends and packs for restaurants, private label customers, food manufacturers, and meat packing houses.

Doug Jeffords will be taking over an existing 77,000-square foot facility, previously owned by Numatics Actuator, located at 103 Sam Watkins Blvd. in Mount Pleasant, TN. The new facility, located in the Cherry Glen Industrial Park, will be used for the creation, packaging and fulfillment of the company’s spices, seasonings, and dry goods.

As part of the company’s relocation they will initially add 15-20 new jobs, these position will be in the packing and blending side of their production operation. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend their Job Fair on March 5th at the Maury Alliance office at 106 West 6th Street in Columbia, TN.
Mount Pleasant and Maury County are represented by Sen. Joey Hensley (R – Hohenwald), Rep. Sheila Butt (R – Columbia) and Rep. Michael Curcio (R – Dickson) in the Tennessee General Assembly.
