Columbia State and Maury County Public Schools enter partnership

Maury County’s fixtures of education joined forces Tuesday to bring greater opportunity to the county’s students after high school.

In Columbia State’s Pryor Art Gallery, Maury County Director of Schools Dr. Chris Marczak and Columbia State Community College President Dr. Janet F. Smith cosigned multiple documents, entering the two institutions into a partnership program.

The venture will give high school students the chance to receive college credit with the potential to earn an Associate’s Degree while attending high school.

“We welcome you to a new day of education in our community,” Smith said. “Over the many years there have been times that we have worked back and forth, but today, we are taking it to a greater height.”   See more click here
