Mayor’s Lunch reflects city/county growth

The Mayors’ Lunch on Tuesday brought together the top leaders in the county, each speaking about the continued growth and improvements in their cities and regions.

The annual event is an opportunity for mayors from Maury County, Columbia, Spring Hill and Mt. Pleasant to update citizens and county stakeholders on the state of the region individually and as a whole.

County Mayor Charlie Norman began saying that, since 2010, approximately 72 percent of the state’s growth has occurred in Middle Tennessee. He commended the Maury County Commission for its work in making hard decisions like voting to raise taxes and borrow money for things like the new Central High School campus. He also stressed the importance of working together as a county to prepare for the future growth. To read more click here…
